The U10s had arguably their best ever team performance as they faced the old enemy the black and blue of Llanharan, as well as Whichurch who joined us for a round robin. The Redbacks were far too powerful and well drilled for a young niave Whichurch U10s, who to their credit didnt give up, eventually scoring 10 tries to no return before the match was blown early. After the 'warm up' they faced Llanharan against who we have historically been well matched, and proceeded to dominate a physical match, particularly in the tackle and breakdown area, with special mention going to Regan Jones and Jack Newton. The result was a 5 -30 domination and Pencoed were disappointed to let Llanharan in for their only try in the last minutes of the match. Great attacking performances from Henry Janes and Louis Cooper particularly, however the whole team should be credited. It was great to see so many try scorers, demonstrating what a rounded team the Redbacks are becoming.
Tries scored by Henry Janes (6), Regan Jones (3), Jack Newton (2), Louis Cooper (1), Evan Thompson (1), Thomas Whittingham (1), Harri Howells (1), Malik Svikeris (1)
